HEARING - Consider recommendations regarding terms and conditions of employment for the Civil Attorneys Association, SEIU, Local 620 Public Defenders, and Unrepresented Attorneys, as follows: (EST. TIME: 5 MIN.)
a) Approve a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Civil Attorneys Association (CAA), effective April 28, 2014 through December 18, 2016;
b) Approve the Side Letter Agreement with the Service Employees International Union, Local 620 (Local 620), adjusting wages for employees in Deputy Public Defender IV and Senior classifications;
c) Provide the same unit wide wage increases and wage adjustments for similarly-situated unrepresented attorneys as provided to attorneys represented by the CAA; and
d) Determine that these actions are exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) review as it is not a project pursuant to CEQA Guidelines section 15378 (b) (2).
