Title: Consider recommendations regarding Human Services Commission - Award of Fiscal Year (FY) 2014-2015 General Fund Grants, as follows: a) Receive and consider recommendations from the County of Santa Barbara Human Services Commission for the awards of Human Services Commission grants to grantees for the use of County General Funds for FY 2014-2015 for the delivery of Human Services Program services; b) Accept the recommendations from the County of Santa Barbara Human Services Commission and approve the awards of Human Services Commission grants to the grantees subject to the approval and execution of written Agreements, and direct staff to return to the Board for approval and authorization of the Chair to execute FY 2014-2015 Human Services Commission grants as may be required; and c) Determine that the above activities are exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15061(b)(3), finding that these activities are covered by th...

Consider recommendations regarding Human Services Commission - Award of Fiscal Year (FY) 2014-2015 General Fund Grants, as follows:
 
a) Receive and consider recommendations from the County of Santa Barbara Human Services Commission for the awards of Human Services Commission grants to grantees for the use of County General Funds for FY 2014-2015 for the delivery of Human Services Program services;
 
b) Accept the recommendations from the County of Santa Barbara Human Services Commission and approve the awards of Human Services Commission grants to the grantees subject to the approval and execution of written Agreements, and direct staff to return to the Board for approval and authorization of the Chair to execute FY 2014-2015 Human Services Commission grants as may be required; and  
 
c) Determine that the above activities are exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15061(b)(3), finding that these activities are covered by the general rule that CEQA applies only to projects which have the potential for causing a significant effect on the environment, and where it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the activities may have a significant effect on the environment, the activities are not subject to CEQA, and direct staff to file a Notice of Exemption (NOE).
