Title: Consider recommendations regarding a $135,000.00 Grant for STEP (Selective Traffic Enforcement Program) from California Office of Traffic Safety for the period from October 1, 2014 through September 30, 2015, as follows: (4/5 Vote Required) a) Accept a $135,000.00 Grant from the State of California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) for the STEP (Selective Traffic Enforcement Program) for the period from October 1, 2014 through September 30, 2015; b) Approve Budget Journal Entry No. 0003639 recognizing $135,000.00 of Grant revenue and appropriate amounts for Overtime and Services and Supplies in the Sheriff's Office budget; and c) Find that the proposed action does not constitute a "Project" within the meaning of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), pursuant to 14 CCR 15378 (b)(5), in that it is a government administrative activity that will not result in direct or indirect changes in the environment.
