Title: Consider recommendations regarding the appointment of Members of Special District Board of Directors in Lieu of Election with Vacancies, Pursuant to California Elections Code ? 10515, as follows: a) Approve the appointment in lieu of election those candidates who have filed the required nomination documents and have qualified. All candidates listed have filed nomination documents to run for office and meet the qualifications necessary to be appointed in lieu of election; and b) Consider candidates that must qualify by November 4, 2014 for appointment to fill vacancies. The person(s) appointed shall take office and serve exactly as if elected. There are nine (9) districts that have one or more vacancies where no candidates filed. In order to facilitate the appointment process it is recommended that the Board of Supervisors contact those district offices for recommendations for appointment.
