Title
Consider recommendations regarding Refugio Road Low Water Crossings No. 1 and No. 2 New Bridge Projects, Federal Projects BRLO-NBIL (529) and BRLO-NBIL (530), County Projects No. 862361 and 862362, Third District, as follows:
a) Approve and authorize the Chair to execute a Professional Services Contract with WEST Consultants, Inc. (not a local vendor) in the base amount of $219,973.10 for Hydraulic and Hydrologic Engineering Studies and Fish Passage Services - Refugio Road Low Water Crossings over Refugio Creek, County Project Nos. 862361 and 862362, which has been reviewed and approved by County Counsel, Auditor-Controller and Risk Manager, or their authorized representative;
b) Authorize the Director of Public Works to approve changes or additions to the professional services being performed under the Professional Service Contract with WEST Consultants, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $21,997.30; and
c) Find that the proposed action is exempt from California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), pursuant to 14 CCR 15306, which consists of basic data collection, research, experimental management, and resource evaluation activities which do not result in a serious or major disturbance to an environmental resource, and approve the filing of a Notice of Exemption on that basis.
