Title

Consider recommendations regarding Department of Health Care Services and California Endowment Medi-Cal Re-enrollment Funding Agreement, as follows: (4/5 Vote Required)

 

a) Approve, ratify, and authorize the Chair to execute an agreement with the California Department of Health Care Services to receive a grant for Medi-Cal re-enrollment assistance for the period January 1, 2015 through December 31, 2016 in the amount of $179,992.00;

 

b) Authorize the Public Health Department Director or designee, in collaboration with County Education Office, to recruit local Community Based Organizations that provide healthcare coverage assistance and to execute agreements with Community Based Organizations as subrecipients of funding under this grant to assist with Medi-Cal re-enrollment activities;

 

c) Approve Budget Revision Request No. 0004177 to establish appropriations of $179,992.00 in the Public Health Department’s General Fund for Medi-Cal re-enrollment assistance; and

 

d) Determine that these activities are exempt from California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) review per CEQA Guideline Section 15378(b)(4), since the recommended actions are government fiscal activities which do not involve commitment to any specific project which may result in a potentially significant physical impact on the environment.
