Title
Consider recommendations regarding Child Abuse Listening Mediation (CALM) Agreements with the Department of Social Services (DSS), as follows:
a) Approve and authorize the Chair to execute an Agreement for Services of Independent Contractor with Child Abuse Listening Mediation (CALM) in the amount not to exceed $95,000.00 to provide Child Welfare Services (CWS) Intensive Family Reunification Program Services for the period of July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016;
b) Approve and authorize the Chair to execute an Agreement for Services of Independent Contractor with CALM in the amount not to exceed $93,000.00 to provide CWS Intensive In-Home Supportive Services for the period of July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016;
c) Approve and authorize the Chair to execute an Agreement for Services of Independent Contractor with CALM in the amount not to exceed $87,500.00, that includes the $34,000.00 under Purchase Contract CN No. 18343 with CALM but otherwise cancels, nullifies, and supersedes Purchase Contract CN No. 18343, to provide CWS Family Treatment Drug Court Services to North and South County for the period of July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2016;
d) Approve and ratify the following Purchase Orders with CALM:
i) Department of Social Services for SafeCare Program Services in the amount of $98,000.00;
ii) Department of Social Services for Domestic Violence Program Services $90,000.00; and
iii) Department of Social Services for Parenting Workshops in the amount of $5,400.00; and
e) Determine that the approvals and execution of the above Agreements and ratifications of the above Purchase Orders are exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15061(b)(3), finding that the approvals and execution of the Agreements and ratifications of the Purchase Orders are covered by the general rule that CEQA applies only to projects which have the potential for causing a significant effect on the environmen...
