Title
Consider recommendations regarding a Personnel Resolution for Additional Health Care Center Positions, as follows: (4/5 Vote Required)
a) Authorize the Public Health Department Director to accept and receive Grant Award 3H80CS000461412 from the Department of Health and Human Services Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) for Expanded Services for the period September 1, 2015 through February 28, 2017 in the amount of $329,100.00 annually;
b) Approve a Resolution and allocate to the Public Health Department the following new positions effective October 26, 2015:
i) Add: (1) 1.0 FTE Staff Nurse (class 007100). Range 7100 ($5,549.00 - $6,774.00 approximately per month);
ii) Add: (3) 1.0 FTE Medical Assistants (class 005123). Range 5123 ($3,049.00 - $3,723.00 approximately per month);
iii) Add: (2) .50 FTE Medical Assistants (class 005123). Range 5123 ($3,049.00 - $3,723.00 approximately per month); and
iv) Add: (1) .50 FTE Public Health Nurse (class 006310). Range 6310 ($5,938.00 - $7,249.00 approximately per month);
c) Approve and authorize Budget Revision Request number 0004251 reflecting unanticipated revenue from the Federal government for HRSA Expanded Services in the amount of $164,550.00 for the remainder of Fiscal Year 2015-2016; and
d) Determine that this action is exempt from California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) review per CEQA Guideline section 15378(b)(4), since the recommended action is a government fiscal activity which does not involve commitment to any specific project which may result in a potentially significant physical impact on the environment.
