Title
Consider recommendations regarding submittal to the California Coastal Commission for certification of amendments to the Santa Barbara County Article II Coastal Zoning Ordinance, as follows:
a) Adopt a Resolution that amends the Santa Barbara County Coastal Land Use Plan by adopting new maps and text that implement the Eastern Goleta Valley Community Plan; and
b) Direct staff to submit the following amendments to the Santa Barbara County Local Coastal Program to the California Coastal Commission for certification:
i) Ordinance No. 4942 that amends the Article II Coastal Zoning Ordinance by adopting new regulations that implement the Eastern Goleta Valley Community Plan;
ii) Ordinance No. 4943 that amends the Article II Coastal Zoning Ordinance by (1) amending the existing Goleta Community Plan Zoning South, Goleta Community Plan Zoning Overlay and Goleta Community Plan Environmentally Sensitive Habitat and Riparian Corridor Land Use and Zoning Overlays South maps, and (2) by adopting the new Eastern Goleta Valley Community Plan Zoning, Eastern Goleta Valley Community Plan Zoning Overlay, and Eastern Goleta Valley Community Plan Environmentally Sensitive Habitat and Riparian Corridor Land Use and Zoning Overlays maps that implement the Eastern Goleta Valley Community Plan; and
iii) Ordinance No. 4946 that amends the Article II Coastal Zoning Ordinance by revising existing procedures and regulations and adding new procedures and regulations that implement certain programs contained in the 2015-2023 Housing Element Update.
