Consider recommendations regarding adopting and rescinding parking zones, First, Third, and Fourth Districts, as follows:
a) Adopt a Resolution to establish “no stopping, standing or parking” zones on Eucalyptus Hill Road in the Montecito area in the First District, on Pardall Road and on Camino Del Sur in the Isla Vista area in the Third District, on Apollo Way in the Vandenberg Village area of the Third District, and on Norris Street in the Orcutt area in the Fourth District; a “loading” zone on Pardall Road in the Isla Vista area in the Third District; and a “time limited parking” zone on Embarcadero Del Norte in the Isla Vista area in the Third District;
b) Adopt a Resolution to rescind Resolutions 10-188, 74-649, 90-326 and portions of Resolution 03-280, as follows;
i) Rescind Resolutions 10-188, 74-649 and 90-326 thereby removing a “time limited parking” zone on Embarcadero Del Norte and “no parking” zones on Del Playa Drive and Camino Del Sur in the Isla Vista area in the Third District;
ii) Rescind portions of Resolution 03-280 thereby removing “no parking” zones on Sabado Tarde Road in the Isla Vista area in the Third District; and
c) Find that the proposed actions are for the operation and maintenance of an existing public facility, involving negligible, or no expansion of use beyond that which presently exists, that the proposed action is therefore exempt from California Environmental Quality Act pursuant to 14 CCR 15301, and approve and direct staff to file the Notice of Exemption on that basis.
