Consider recommendations regarding the Department of Justice Enhanced Collaborative Model to Combat Human Trafficking Grant Award to the District Attorney’s Office, as follows: (4/5 Vote Required)

 

a) Approve and authorize the District Attorney or designee to execute a Grant Agreement with the United States Department of Justice, accepting the Enhanced Collaborative Model to Combat Human Trafficking grant award totaling $604,390.00 over a three-year grant period;

 

b) Approve Budget Revision Request No. 0004812 to increase appropriations in Fiscal Year (FY) 2016-2017 in the amount of $202,330.00 in District Attorney's Office General Fund for Salaries and Benefits ($148,873.00) and Services and Supplies ($53,457.00) funded by unanticipated revenue from Intergovernmental Revenue-Federal; and

 

c) Determine that the above action is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15378(b)(4), because it consists of government funding mechanisms or other government fiscal activities, which do not involve any commitment to any specific project which may result in a potentially significant physical impact on the environment.
