Title: Consider recommendations regarding Union Valley Parkway/Woodmere Barrier Project, County Project No. 862381, Fourth District, as follows: a) Approve and authorize the Chair to execute the professional services contract for design services with MNS Engineers, Inc. Title

Consider recommendations regarding Union Valley Parkway/Woodmere Barrier Project, County Project No. 862381, Fourth District, as follows:

 

a) Approve and authorize the Chair to execute the professional services contract for design services with MNS Engineers, Inc. (a local vendor) at 201 N. Calle Cesar Chavez, Suite 300, Santa Barbara, CA in an amount not to exceed $69,977.00 for the Union Valley Parkway/Woodmere Barrier Project, County Project No. 862381;

 

b) Authorize the Director of Public Works or designee to approve amendments to the professional services contract with MNS Engineers, Inc. in an amount not to exceed $6,997.00; and

 

c) Find that the proposed contract does not constitute a “Project” within the meaning of the California Environmental Quality Act pursuant to 14 CCR 15378 (b)(5) (Organizational or administrative activities of governments that will not result in direct or indirect physical changes in the environment), and approve and direct staff to file the Notice of  Exemption on that basis.
