Title: Consider recommendations regarding Fiscal Year (FY) 2016 Emergency Management Performance Grant Authorization, as follows: a) Adopt a Resolution authorizing the County Executive Officer, her Business Manager, and the Director of Emergency Management to apply and enter into a contract to accept the FY 2016-2017 Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG) with the California Office of Emergency Services in the approximate amount of $215,789.00 to provide grant funding for emergency management activities in the Santa Barbara Operational Area; and b) Direct staff to return to the Board of Supervisors with the grant as part of the Office of Emergency Management's budget and work program request if the grant is awarded; and c) Determine that the proposed action is related to the creation of a government funding mechanism and other fiscal activities which do not involve any commitment to any specific project which may result in a potentially significant physical impact on the environment...

Title

Consider recommendations regarding Fiscal Year (FY) 2016 Emergency Management Performance Grant Authorization, as follows:

 

a) Adopt a Resolution authorizing the County Executive Officer, her Business Manager, and the Director of Emergency Management to apply and enter into a contract to accept the FY 2016-2017 Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG) with the California Office of Emergency Services in the approximate amount of $215,789.00 to provide grant funding for emergency management activities in the Santa Barbara Operational Area; and

 

b) Direct staff to return to the Board of Supervisors with the grant as part of the Office of Emergency Management’s budget and work program request if the grant is awarded; and

 

c) Determine that the proposed action is related to the creation of a government funding mechanism and other fiscal activities which do not involve any commitment to any specific project which may result in a potentially significant physical impact on the environment, and is therefore exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to CEQA Guideline section 15378 (b)(4) and direct staff to file a Notice of Exemption.
