Consider recommendations regarding the Floradale Avenue Bridge No. 51C-0006 Replacement Project; County Project No. 862032, Third District, as follows:
a) Approve and authorize the Chair to execute an Agreement for Services of Independent Contractor with Cornerstone Structural Engineering Group, Inc. (not a local vendor), 986 W. Alluvial Avenue, Suite 201, Fresno, CA 93711, in the base contract amount of $843,100.00, for plans, specifications and estimate on the Floradale Avenue Bridge No. 51C-0006 Replacement Project, County Project No. 862032, with a term of July 25, 2017 through June 30, 2019;
b) Approve and Authorize the Director of Public Works or designee to approve amendments within the scope of the Statement of Work in the Agreement with Cornerstone Structural Engineering Group, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $84,310.00; and
c) Find that the proposed contract does not constitute a project within the meaning of the California Environmental Quality Act pursuant to 14 CCR 15378 (b)(5) (Organizational or administrative activities of governments that will not result in direct or indirect physical changes in the environment), and approve and direct staff to file a Notice of Exemption on that basis.
