Title: Consider recommendations regarding a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) for Association of Administrators Interstate Compact on Adoption and Medical Assistance Database Access, as follows: a) Approve and authorize the County of Santa Barbara Director of the Department of Social Services (DSS) to execute the MOU between the CDSS and County of Santa Barbara, to allow DSS access to the Association of Administrators of the Interstate Compact on Adoption and Medical Assistance (AAICAMA) database; b) Adopt a Resolution authorizing the Director of Social Services, to execute duly approved documents and agreements and MOU's for access to the AAICAMA database; and c) Determine that the execution of the MOU is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to the CEQA Guidelines Section 15061 (b) (3), finding that the execution of the MOU is covered by the general rule that CEQA applies only to projects which have ...

Title

Consider recommendations regarding a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) for Association of Administrators Interstate Compact on Adoption and Medical Assistance Database Access, as follows:

 

a) Approve and authorize the County of Santa Barbara Director of the Department of Social Services (DSS) to execute the MOU between the CDSS and County of Santa Barbara, to allow DSS access to the Association of Administrators of the Interstate Compact on Adoption and Medical Assistance (AAICAMA) database;

 

b) Adopt a Resolution authorizing the Director of Social Services, to execute duly approved documents and agreements and MOU’s for access to the AAICAMA database; and

 

c) Determine that the execution of the MOU is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to the CEQA Guidelines Section 15061 (b) (3), finding that the execution of the MOU is covered by the general rule that CEQA applies only to projects which have the potential for causing a significant effect on the environment, and where it can be seen with certainty that there is no possibility that the activity may have a significant effect on the environment, the activities are not subject to CEQA.
