a) Receive and file a staff report on the process of updating Santa Barbara County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan from emergency management staff;

 

b) Adopt by Resolution the updated Santa Barbara County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan;

 

c) Adopt a Resolution resolving to integrate by reference the Santa Barbara County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan into the Santa Barbara County Safety Element of the General Plan with the next Safety Element Update, as required by Government Code sections 65302 and 8685.9;

 

d) Receive and file the Annual Progress Report as prepared by Public Works for submission to the Federal Emergency Management Agency; and

 

e) Determine that the adoption of this Plan is categorically exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as provided by CEQA guidelines Section 15061 (b)(3) (No possibility of impact on the environment).

 

COUNTY EXECUTIVE OFFICER’S RECOMMENDATION: APPROVE
