Consider recommendations regarding a Civil Engineering Services Agreement with Stantec Consulting Services, Inc. for the Point Sal Access Road February 2017 Storm (DR4308) Repair; Third District, as follows:

 

a) Approve and authorize the Chair to execute the professional services agreement with Stantec Consulting Services, Inc. (Contractor) in the amount not to exceed $37,900.00 to allow the Contractor to provide civil engineering, surveying and geotechnical services for the Point Sal Access Road February 2017 Storm (DR-4308) Repair project; and

 

b) Determine that the Project is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Section 15301(c) of the State Guidelines for the Implementation of CEQA which consists of the repair or minor alteration of existing highways and streets, sidewalks, gutters, bicycle and pedestrian trails, and similar facilities (this includes road grading for the purpose of public safety), involving negligible or no expansion of existing use, and direct staff to file the CEQA Notice of Exemption on that basis.
