Title: Consider recommendations regarding the First Amendment to the Maddy Emergency Medical Services Fund Agreement with the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, as follows: a) Approve, ratify, and authorize the Chair to execute a First Amendment to the Agreement for Maddy Emergency Medical Services Fund Distributions with Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, to change the period of performance so that it matches other local hospitals making extensions automatic through December 31, 2026, unless earlier terminated, to continue providing partial compensation for trauma and emergency medical services provided to the uninsured and medically indigent; and b) Determine that the proposed actions do not constitute a "Project" within the meaning of California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), pursuant to Section 15378(b)(4) of the CEQA Guidelines, because they consist of the creation of government funding mechanisms or other government fiscal activities, which do not involve any commitment to any specific p...

Consider recommendations regarding the First Amendment to the Maddy Emergency Medical Services Fund Agreement with the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, as follows:

 

a) Approve, ratify, and authorize the Chair to execute a First Amendment to the Agreement for Maddy Emergency Medical Services Fund Distributions with Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, to change the period of performance so that it matches other local hospitals making extensions automatic through December 31, 2026, unless earlier terminated, to continue providing partial compensation for trauma and emergency medical services provided to the uninsured and medically indigent; and

 

b) Determine that the proposed actions do not constitute a “Project” within the meaning of California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), pursuant to Section 15378(b)(4) of the CEQA Guidelines, because they consist of the creation of government funding mechanisms or other government fiscal activities, which do not involve any commitment to any specific project which may result in a potentially significant impact on the environment.
