Consider recommendations regarding Fire Department Equipment Donation, Acceptance of Non-Cash Donation Greater than $10,000.00, as follows: (4/5 Vote Required)

 

a) Accept a non-cash donation of 60 Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) backpacks equipped with tactical helmets and headlamps, 120 USAR Field Operations Guides, and 260 Hot Shield Wildland Kits with respirators, valued at $80,000.00, from the Santa Barbara Firefighters Alliance, a non-profit organization;

 

b) Approve Budget Revision Request No. 0006480 to appropriate the donation revenue in the Fire Department Fire Protection District Fund; and

 

c) Determine that the above recommended actions do not constitute a project subject to environmental review under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15378(b)(4), finding that the actions are the creation of a governmental funding mechanism or other government fiscal activity, which do not involve any commitment to any specific project which may result in a potentially significant physical impact on the environment.
