Title

City of Guadalupe - Approve the requests of the City of Guadalupe, as follows:

 

a) Call for the holding of a General Municipal Election on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, for the election of certain officers as required by the provisions of the laws of the State of California, and for the submission to the voters for approval of a question relating to the reauthorization and enhancement of the City’s Local Transactions and Use Tax to one (1) cent until ended by the voters;

 

b) Consolidate the City’s General Municipal Election with the Statewide General Election and requesting services from the County for election of the Mayor, two Council Members and the City Clerk, and submission to the voters of a question to reauthorize and enhance the Local Transactions and Use Tax;

 

c) Adopt regulations for candidates for elective office pertaining to Candidates’ Statements and material submitted to the electorate to be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2020;

 

d) Set priorities for filling written arguments regarding the City measure and directing the City Attorney to prepare an impartial analysis; and

 

e) Provide for the filing of rebuttal arguments for the City measure submitted at the General Municipal Election to be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2020.
