Title

Consider recommendations regarding the Coastal Resource Enhancement Fund Grant Contract with the Lompoc Unified School District, Third District, as follows:

 

a) Approve and authorize the Chair to execute the Coastal Resource Enhancement Fund contract with the Lompoc Unified School District, in the amount of $90,000.00, to design and fabricate a Coastal Splash Zone exhibit at the Cabrillo High School Aquarium, for the period of August 24, 2021 to April 1, 2022;

 

b) Approve and authorize the Director of Planning and Development, or designee, to take the following actions for the Coastal Resource Enhancement Fund Contract:

 

i) Extend performance in accordance with Section 3 for up to and not to exceed a period of one year for good cause;

 

ii) Approve project changes in accordance with Section 5, including changes to project description, reduction in the overall project budget or change in budget items of 10 percent or more; and

 

iii) Terminate the contract in accordance with Sections 4 and 15 for failure to provide matching funds/in-kind services; and

 

c) Determine that the allocation of the Coastal Resource Enhancement Fund grant is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Section 15378(b)(5) of the State Guidelines for the implementation of the CEQA.
