Title

Consider recommendations regarding the Future of Public Health Funding Allocation for Public Health Workforce and Infrastructure, as follows: (4/5 Vote Required)

 

a) Approve, ratify, and authorize the Director of Public Health to accept an award of $2,433,999.00 in Future of Public Health funding through the Budget Act of 2022 for budget year 2022-2023 for public health workforce and infrastructure. These funds are considered ongoing funds and part of the ongoing baseline State budget;

 

b) Approve Budget Revision Request No. 0008740 in the amount of $635,000.00 to establish appropriations for $635,000.00 of unanticipated revenue from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) to fund public health workforce and infrastructure for Fiscal Year (FY) 2022-2023 in the County’s financial system; and

 

c) Determine that the recommended actions are not a “Project” with the meaning of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and are exempt per CEQA Guideline Section 15378(b)(5), since the recommended actions are organizational or administrative activities of government that will not result in direct or indirect physical change in the environment.
