Title: Consider recommendations regarding the First Amendment to Agreement for Professional Legal Services with Outside Counsel Oppenheimer Investigations Group, as follows: (4/5 Vote Required) a) Authorize County Counsel, or her designee, to execute a First Amended Agreement for Professional Legal Services between the County of Santa Barbara and Oppenheimer Investigations Group to increase the maximum contract amount by $50,000.00 for a total not to exceed amount of $100,000.00 and extend the term to December 31, 2023, with concurrence from the Auditor-Controller and Risk Manager, or their designees; and b) Determine that the above action is not a project under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Sections 15378(b)(4) and 15378(b)(5) because it consists of government administrative or fiscal activities that will not result in direct or indirect physical changes in the environment.
