Title

Consider recommendations regarding the authorization of funding from the Fourth District General County Programs Department 990 discretionary funding to Local Organizations Serving Veterans and Youth Sports, as follows:

 

a) Approve and authorize the contribution of $5,000.00 to Healing Heroes Through Horsemanship, Inc, (a 501(c)(3) nonprofit) from the Fiscal Year (FY) 2023-2024 Fourth District General County Programs Dept 990 discretionary funding;

 

b) Approve and authorize the contribution of, and not-to-exceed amount of $15,000.00, from the FY 2023-2024 Fourth District General County Programs Dept 990 discretionary funding to various youth sports organizations throughout the District;

 

c) Find that the project provides a community benefit that meets the social needs of the County; and

 

d) Determine that the above actions are organizational or administrative activities of the government that will not result in direct or indirect physical changes in the environment and are not a project under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Section 15378(b)(5) of the CEQA Guidelines.
