Title: Consider recommendations regarding a Service Agreement with the Santa Ynez Valley Union High School District for Law Enforcement Services, as follows: (4/5 Vote Required) a) Approve, ratify, and authorize the Chair to execute an Agreement for law enforcement services with the Santa Ynez Valley Union High School District ($168,725.00) for School Resource Deputy (SRD) services starting on August 1, 2023 and ending on June 30, 2024; b) Authorize the Sheriff to extend the Agreement for two separate one-year extensions; c) Approve Budget Revision Request No. 0009268 to increase appropriations of $168,725.00 in Sheriff's Office General Fund, to be fully reimbursed for services provided to the Santa Ynez Valley Union High School District; and d) Determine that the above actions are government fiscal activities or funding mechanisms which do not involve any commitment to any specific project which may result in a potentially significant impact on the environment, and are therefore not a pr...

Consider recommendations regarding a Service Agreement with the Santa Ynez Valley Union High School District for Law Enforcement Services, as follows: (4/5 Vote Required)

 

a) Approve, ratify, and authorize the Chair to execute an Agreement for law enforcement services with the Santa Ynez Valley Union High School District ($168,725.00) for School Resource Deputy (SRD) services starting on August 1, 2023 and ending on June 30, 2024;

 

b) Authorize the Sheriff to extend the Agreement for two separate one-year extensions;

 

c) Approve Budget Revision Request No. 0009268 to increase appropriations of $168,725.00 in Sheriff’s Office General Fund, to be fully reimbursed for services provided to the Santa Ynez Valley Union High School District; and

 

d) Determine that the above actions are government fiscal activities or funding mechanisms which do not involve any commitment to any specific project which may result in a potentially significant impact on the environment, and are therefore not a project under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to section 15378(b)(4) of the CEQA guidelines.
