Title: HEARING - Consider recommendations regarding Mentally Ill and Homeless Recidivism Cost Analysis, as follows: (EST. TIME: 45 MIN.) a) Receive and file a staff report on the financial impacts of homeless and mentally ill individuals repeatedly cycling through the courts and county jail, as completion of the County’s response to the Santa Barbara County Civil Grand Jury’s Report entitled “Homeless Mentally Ill Indigent Recidivism - This is not good for the County”; b) Approve and authorize the Chair to execute a letter, on behalf of the Board, to accompany the staff report being sent to the Presiding Judge of the Superior Court and the Grand Jury; and c) Provide staff with any additional guidance and direction on this matter. a) Receive and file a staff report on the financial impacts of homeless and mentally ill individuals repeatedly cycling through the courts and county jail, as completion of the County's response to the Santa Barbara County Civil Grand Jury's Report entitled "Homeless Mentally Ill Indigent Recidivism - This is not good for the County";
