Title

Consider recommendations regarding the Coast Valley Substance Abuse Treatment Center Fiscal Years (FYs) 2021-2024 Services Contract and FYs 2020-2023 Revenue Contract Terminations, as follows:

 

a) Approve, ratify, and authorize the Chair to terminate for cause, effective July 22, 2022, the Coast Valley Worship Center DBA Coast Valley Substance Abuse Treatment Center (Coast Valley) Agreement for Services of Independent Contractor FYs 2021-2024 (BC No. 20-079), originally executed by the County on May, 4, 2021, for the provision of Drug Medi-Cal Organized Delivery System (DMC-ODS) and Substance Abuse and Prevention (SAPT) services;

 

b) Approve, ratify, and authorize the Chair to terminate for cause, effective July 22, 2022, the Coast Valley Worship Center DBA Coast Valley Substance Abuse Treatment Center (Coast Valley) Revenue Agreement for FYs 2020-2023, originally executed by the County on April 6, 2021, for the provision of Penal Code section 1000 (PC 1000) Drug Diversion Program Services;

 

c) Direct the Director of the Department of Behavioral Wellness or designee to issue a letter substantially similar to the draft provided in Attachment C terminating each Agreement, effective July 22, 2022;

 

d) Delegate authority to the Director of the Department of Behavioral Wellness or designee to take actions necessary for the winddown of the Agreements, subject to the Board’s ability to rescind this delegated authority at any time; and

 

e) Determine that the above actions are government funding mechanisms or other government fiscal activities, which do not involve any commitment to any specific project that may result in a potentially significant physical impact on the environment and is therefore not a project under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to section 15378(b)(4) of the CEQA Guidelines.
